What are the cheapest destinations?

One-way fares on Avelo can vary depending on the time of booking, the dates of the trip, the destination and the number of tickets you’re looking to purchase. Prices look to range from the mid-$30s to the mid-$300s in some cases.

Some of the more expensive routes include Orlando, Florida, (MCO), San Juan, Puerto Rico, (SJU) as well as the two flights set to end at the end of April – Palm Beach, Florida, and Sarasota, Florida.

Flights to Jacksonville, Florida, have some of the most consistently cheap fares through the summer months, starting at $39 per person on departure flights and between $39 and $59 for return flights.

Myrtle Beach trips also are relatively cheap, but prices are lowest during the end of May and beginning of June, where departure fares start at around $42 and return flights are around $53.

Flights to Nashville depart and return to Wilmington on Thursdays and Sundays, so if you’re looking for cheap fares, it would be more economical to depart on a Sunday and return on a Thursday.

According to the Avelo website, departure flights on Sundays in May and June start anywhere from $40 to $54, and return flights on Thursdays start around $40-45.

Raleigh / Durham, North Carolina and Wilmington, North Carolina are also cheaper than other destinations. Flights to and from these destinations mostly range from $35 to $67 between May and November.

Avelo trips under $100

If you’re looking to spend less than $100 on flight costs, here are some example itineraries that could be used going into the summer months.

Let’s say you’re in the mood to get out of town for Memorial Day weekend and you’re willing to take a few days off after the holiday. Right now, flights to Myrtle Beach on Sunday, May 25, are starting at $42, and flights back to ILG on Thursday, May 29, are starting at $47.

Assuming those are the exact prices you get for one round-trip ticket, that still leaves $11 in the budget for something useless at the airport gift shop.

Departure and return flights for Raleigh/Durham, North Carolina, are starting between $35 and $44 in May, which would also make for a perfect Memorial Day getaway with an extra day afterward to relax.

For Nashville enthusiasts, September is your month to use Avelo. Return and departure flights on Sundays and Thursdays are starting at around $51 right now.

How to book out of ILG

Bookings out of ILG can be made online at aveloair.com.

Flights also can be booked using the Wilmington Airport’s shuttle bus system to the Philadelphia International Airport when trips are booked through American Airlines.

Using this service allows customers to park and go through security at Wilmington Airport rather than the much busier Philly hub.
