As the summer fast approaches, thousands of UK holidaymakers are getting ready to don their new pair of flipflops and floppy hats at a sunny destination far from home.

And with flight prices increasing year-on-year, getting the most bang for your buck as a passenger on Britain’s largest airlines is now more important than ever.

TikToker Paige may just have the solution for any travellers’ worries.

The influencer addressed her 80,000 followers as she revealed an incredible travel hack.

And the day of the week you book your holiday on, may just be the key to nabbing a bargain.

To grab a cheap flight, Paige said: “On a Sunday, Wednesday and a Thursday, go on your private tab.

“So go on your Safari (Apple’s internet provider) and type in flights to let’s say, Jamaica.”

The content creator then told her doting followers to go on TUI and Netflights, as well as other holiday booking services to compare flight prices.

She said: “I put my dates in to look at the prices and then I’ll open up another tab and do the same thing all over again.

“The reason why we do this in a private tab is because on your normal Safari, there are cookies.”

Cookies, otherwise known as small text files that company’s can store on your computer, are used to remember information about your online habits – creating a more personalised view each time you are online.

The TikToker continued: “If I’m typing in I want to go to Jamaica on a normal tab, companies can collect the data with the cookies and give you a higher price.

Paige explained this was because airlines can recognise if an individual is looking for a particular place to go frequently, and hike up costs.

She said: “In a private tab, you’re not going to get that as there’ll be no cookies.

“So if you want to find a cheaper flight, go on the website on Sunday, Wednesday and Thursday normally between 12am and 4am in the middle of the night when no one is up.

“This is the time that these websites are normally changing things around and everything drops in price.

“That is how I find cheap flights.”
